I know the featured image isn’t from the Essex game last season but please allow me some poetic licence. how can something so sad make you so happy? As if the pain of being pipped (again) to the title wasn’t enough the last day of the 2019 season was the last time we will see Marcus Trescothick on the field for Somerset’s first XI.
I’m not even going to try to put into words my admiration for the man, just to say thank you yet again for everything he has done for the club for over half my lifetime of support of Somerset CCC.
