There is no escaping the fact, Essex won the 2019 County Championship on the hallowed ground that is the Cooper Associates County Ground in my beloved Taunton.
It hurt then. It still hurts now. For all of us, players, coaches and supporters alike.
But, if I was Jason Kerr (thankfully for all Somerset players and supporters I’m not) I would post a montage like this on the wall of the dressing room in St John’s Wood on Wednesday morning.
